
currently working as a CNA in med surge unit since September 2020. My main role is to follow RN instruction and work with a team as other Cna . which will get patients good care. In my floor first Need to do round for you assigned patients check bed alarm is on for fall risk patients , Pass fresh water gloves and help patient to order breakfast if need help. If you work on floor every 2 hrs reposition patients, feed , ADL , CHG bath for on going surgery , having peak line and foley patients .Documents input/output , vitals . Empty colostomy , drainage .If you are sitter to make sure patient not fall down , not remove I/V lines . Documents every one hrs sitter observation. If sit with 51/50 and 52/50 sitter needs to check patient environments safety . Need to chart every 15 minute check and every one hrs sitter observation. some time float to ICU, Tele, ED. To work in ICU is little different than other floor. In ICU most patients is very sick on incubate and be carefully when giving a patient . care. Need to wear proper PPE to contact precaution , Air bone , droplets . Hand hygiene gel in and out is must.
worked Alta Baes summit medical center in orthopedic department from September 2020 to July 2024. iIn ortho department most of patients had hip surgery , knee replacement , shoulder surgery fractures . So me as Cna make sure to give CHG bath before surgery and get ready for surgery. For post surgery make sure patient sit up to chair for meal. Help patient in toileting . Also follow Physical therapy instruction for transfer to chair , bed , and bathroom.used hoyer lift , sit and stand lift . Reposition every 2 hrs . sometimes float to med surge, Tele, acute rehabe and oncology department.
Assisted residents with ADL, reposition patients. chart input/ output and vitals. Notify Rn if there is any changes
Assisted resident with ADL . Up resident to chair for meal and take patient to activity rooms. reposition resident every 2 hrs who can't move . Hydrate residents. Notify and changes to Rn. Chart input/ output put, vitals , weights. Make sure resident not fall down put bed alarm on bed lowest position and everything's within reach to residents.
