Turner Frankovich

I am a dedicated and passionate 11th grade percussionist seeking the role of Section Leader in the Clear Lake High School Band. With experience in various percussion instruments including bass drum and marimba during marching season, I aim to be a reliable and supportive leader who uplifts the section through encouragement, discipline, and teamwork. I strive to create a positive and motivating environment where band is both enjoyable and a pursuit of excellence. As Section Leader, I will lead by example and help each member grow both musically and personally.

Clear Lake High School Band, 3 Years, Percussionist – Marching & Concert Seasons, Active member of the Marching Band, Concert Band, and Percussion Ensemble since freshman year, Earned a Division 1 rating on a Class 1 marimba solo at UIL and placed 34th in Region, just four chairs away from advancing to the second phase, Regularly assisted fellow front ensemble members with music, including helping marimba and rack players with rhythms and timing, Trusted by the Front Ensemble Tech to help monitor form and bar placement during rehearsals, Known for being dependable, attentive, and always willing to support others in the section

• Frequently took initiative to assist fellow front ensemble members with learning music, rhythms, and technique during rehearsals
• Provided one-on-one support to rack and marimba players to help them stay confident and performance-ready
• Observed and offered corrections on form and bar placement at the request of the Front Ensemble Tech
• Set a consistent example of preparedness, punctuality, and positive attitude for younger and less experienced members
• Helped foster a welcoming and encouraging environment within the front ensemble
• Student Lead Team Member at Clear Creek Community Church (since freshman year), Collaborated on church leadership initiatives, including providing insight on Message Series and Events, Engaged in discussions about leadership and guiding unchurched individuals toward spiritual growth
