Roles And Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the engine room and all automation of equipment within.
  • Perform regulatory inspections on a daily basis.
  • Document and keep detailed inspection reports.
  • In charge of all engine room safety equipment, assist first engineer during routine checks and maintenance.
  • Independent engine room watch-keeping.
  • Responsible for operations of Main engine, auxiliary engines, engine auxiliary machinery and deck machinery.
  • Performed engine performance tests to check performance and take timely action when non-compliant readings are encountered.
  • Maintenance planning, organization and supervision.
