With over 30 years of experience in the civil engineering field, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise. My journey began at South Carolina State University, where I earned a B.S. in civil engineering. Starting as a highway designer at the North Carolina Department of Transportation, I honed my skills in roadway and interstate project design. Transitioning to site development and subdivision design with Evans Engineering, Inc., I gained valuable experience before returning to my passion for roadway design. At Davenport Engineering, I held the position of Sr. Design Engineer/Project Manager, specializing in roundabout design in urban areas and widening existing road projects. As Project Manager/Design Engineer for the City of Greensboro, I successfully managed local and federally funded projects while overseeing a dedicated design team. In my most recent role as Sustainability Manager & Infrastructure Engineer for CEMEX, I focused on the promotion of sustainability and educating colleagues and customers on ways to create a lower carbon environment using PCA's roadmap to carbon neutrality. Additionally, as a Paving Champion with the Florida Concrete & Products Association, I collaborated closely with industry organizations and the Florida Department of Transportation to promote the use of cementitious products throughout the state of Florida.
