Responsible for sanitation, employee safety, and general quality assurance for 30+ cost centers between the SCAD Savannah campus and the SCAD Atlanta campus. This includes around 40 salaried managers and 200 hourly associates/temporary workers. Between both campuses, we serve ~100,000 meals a week.
Primary focus is dealing with the Department of Public Health, Department of Agriculture, and OSHA.
With employee injuries, I deal with handling the proper paperwork from Sedgwick and managing employees' modified job duties.
I have ran a safety and sanitation district call for the last two years on Microsoft Teams every Monday morning with 40-45 managers present to go over that week's safety topic and that week's food safety topic.
Origami compliance (Compass Safety Assessment, SMBWA, Focus 6, etc.) is kept track of for the district to ensure all 155 audits for the quarter are completed.
Conduct daily rounds around SCAD Savannah to ensure our cafes, coffee shops, catering, and c-stores are following proper food safety protocols and HACCP.
Report all incidents, accidents, COVID cases, foodborne illness claims, company vehicles accidents, foreign object claims, etc. through the Compass Group safety portal. Implement corrective actions with the managers to help prevent the issue from happening again.
Ensure managers complete their critical LMS trainings such as Fleet Defense Training, Food Allergies and Celiac Disease Training, Safety Training for Managers in the Workplace, etc.
Work closely with the client and head of maintenance to ensure all equipment and work orders throughout campus are getting taken care of in a timely manner.
Ordering and supplying PPE for all staff.
Communicate and meet with students on any concerns that have regarding food safety in our cafes.
