A grocery team leader’s responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
- Responsible for the productivity of the grocery department in the absence of the Grocery Manager and Assistant Grocery Manager
- Assists customers and delivers premier customer service, coordinates and participates in inventory management and product replenishment across all grocery categories
- Unloading product from trucks and organizes the stock room
- Building of displays, the stocking process and shelf-set maintenance
- Participates in housekeeping, sanitation and cleaning of the store
- Directs and trains grocery clerks and grocery replenishment specialists
- May serve as the associate in charge during non-business hours
- Cross trains on DSD receiving and pricing accuracy (scan/price clerk duties)
- Operates stock room equipment (such as pallet jack, scissor lift, baler, compactor and scrub machine)
- Assists in other duties as assigned
