A grocery team leader’s responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:

• Responsible for the productivity of the grocery department in the absence of the Grocery Manager and Assistant Grocery Manager
• Assists customers and delivers premier customer service, coordinates and participates in inventory management and product replenishment across all grocery categories
• Unloading product from trucks and organizes the stock room
• Building of displays, the stocking process and shelf-set maintenance
• Participates in housekeeping, sanitation and cleaning of the store
• Directs and trains grocery clerks and grocery replenishment specialists
• May serve as the associate in charge during non-business hours
• Cross trains on DSD receiving and pricing accuracy (scan/price clerk duties)
• Operates stock room equipment (such as pallet jack, scissor lift, baler, compactor and scrub machine)
• Assists in other duties as assigned

• Stock clerks assist in the final stage of the retail supply chain with the delivery, packing, and movement of items and goods. They fulfill multiple tasks, including receiving, storing, transferring, and merchandising stock. They also ensure that goods are labeled, checked for damages, displayed appropriately, and accounted for in inventories.

• responsible for processing cash, debit, credit and check transactions using a cash register or other point-of-sale system in a retail environment. Their duties include interacting with customers, balancing the cash register, determining change, recording purchases, processing returns and scanning items for sale.
