My career started in Grading and landscaping. Once I reached 18 years of age I obtained my NC CDL license with passenger and tanker endorsements. I started driving a tandem axel dump truck delivering materials for jobs and local customers. I worked as a driver for a few years before I took a better opportunity with Republic Services as an Equipment Operator in a recycling facility. After working there for a year, I moved into a Driving position operating multiple types of trash collection vehicles. After driving for a few years, I was offered a supervisor position at the location I had been at for a few years. I stayed in that position for a few months when my last full-time job as a firefighter became available. I worked there for four years with the department that I had been a member of since 2009.
