I am a Licensed in 5-12 Historical Perspectives/5-12 Government and Citizenship/P-12 Mild Intervention Teacher. I currently teach in a self-contained, Elementary Special Education Classroom with 18 student on my caseload. My students have a variety of differing diagnoses and display challenging behavior related to their disabilities which creates challenges with their academic achievement. In addition to providing behavioral interventions and supports, I provide curriculum interventions and instruction for grades 2nd-5th. I also keep track of progress monitoring to make data-informed decisions for behavioral and academic goals, create Functional Behavioral Analysis and Behavior Intervention Plans, collaborate with parents, administrators, and general education teachers on specific plans for my students to ensure that their needs are being met so that their full potential can be reached.
