Hello, my name is Tyler Burnell, and I am 19. I am currently a freshman at Washington State University, where I am pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering. I chose this degree as it aligns with my interests in subjects such as aerospace, design work, and mechanical things, such as engines. In the past, I have worked at places such as Domino's and Stemilt and volunteered at my church. Through these experiences, I have been able to hone my written and verbal communication skills, and I am also very proficient in working in team environments. I have also been able to develop my problem-solving skills and am able to produce solutions quickly and on the fly. In addition to this, these jobs required me to learn new things quickly, which I have become skilled at. Lastly, I am also mechanically inclined, having spent many hours in the garage working on dirtbikes and rebuilding engines.
During my time at Dominos, I worked my way up from an inside worker to eventually becoming a shift runner/opening manager in early 2025. While doing this, I had many responsibilities, a few of which I have listed below.
During my time voluneteering at Eastmont Baptist Church (EBC), I worked in the 'tech' room to livestream the church service online. While doing this, I learned valuable skills such as camera operation, audio mixing, and working under the pressure of a live video stream.
