I'm an electrical apprentice seeking to continue my career in this trade. I'm eager to learn more about it and am always willing to ask questions to grow my knowledge and skills. I'm a hard worker and not afraid to put in the effort to learn what it takes to be an electrician.
I started at Summit Electric doing many of the same tasks I had at my time at Redd Electric. I think I acquired a much better understanding of the NEC working here. I also learned more about overcurrent protection devices and how to wire a panel, or replace breakers as needed, as the jobs I was on progressed.
My first job as an electrical apprentice was at Redd Electric in Almont, Michigan. I started out learning the basics of running metal conduit, pulling wire, and using basic hand tools and power tools to get my tasks accomplished.
I started working at Ace Hardware in Utica, Michigan, after graduating from high school in 2017. I worked as a sales associate until 2022, when I was given more managerial responsibilities, such as ensuring that the store was closed properly and that all of our daily tasks were completed.
