  • Manage the Student Services department that include three full-time of advisors carry a student workload of 150+ students per advisor
  • Conduct weekly meetings with team to discuss weekly tasks and goals for the department
  • Conduct one-on-one meetings with each advisors once a week to discuss weekly agenda and any individual student issues to address
  • Complete yearly evaluations for each advisor, present to executive team and advisor
  • Manage over 150+ students as their assigned advisor
  • Review, develop, and update standard operating procedures for the department to ensure that processes are accurate and followed by staff correctly
  • Work with third party organizations (Academy of Learning and Cengage/ed2go) to help register their students in schools programs and monitor their progress. This includes working closely with each organizations rep to ensure timely and quality service for each student
  • Complete monthly review of vocational students progress and update student records to reflect the most accurate information
  • Help Assistant Director with mailing of all completed certificate and diplomas
  • Help military liaison with consistent review of our military student on their progress.
  • Send out letters to all students who don't meet the academic guidelines (SAP, SAP Dismissals, Terminations)
  • Meet with other directors on a quarterly basis to discuss department goals and prep for upcoming terms
  • End of term tasks include; sending out letters to each student who has made honor roll, send out letters to each student that has not met the academic requirements; this includes updating student status in CC, reschedule all students who did not pass their courses, reach out to my assigned students and provide transcripts and schedules for next term
  • Provide class access to all credit bearing and vocational student each start date
  • Campus Cloud - review and update activation for each class for every term and start date
  • Communicate with instructors when it comes dealing with student issues
  • Run and instruct the student orientation for both credit bearing and vocational students.
  • Review and record registration numbers from our Academy of Learning enrollments
  • Complete welcome calls to all enrolled students who are assigned to me as their advisor
  • Assigned students to all advisors once they are enrolled
  • Help with registrar with building student schedules for each program.
  • ADA Committee: Review, evaluate, and notify other members of the committee any submissions from students that need ADA accommodations for their program.
  • Scholarship Committee: gather scholarship essays received from interested students and present to rest of committee for review.
  • Acceptance Committee: review with committee all submissions that are sent to committee inbox of students who are applying to AOS and BFA programs.
  • Student Affairs Committee: gather, review, and present to committee all information related to any student code of conduct.
  • Student Ambassadors/Graduate Award/student profiles: Review, evaluate, and choose members of our yearly student ambassadors as well as graduate award winners and student spotlights.
  • Weekly Cengage reports, Weekly Retention reports, Per term student stats to present to finance team.
  • End of term report that goes over details of how students did at the end of each term (honor roll, SAP, withdrawals, terminations, etc.).
  • End of term finance report that is sent each team to let finance team know details of student outcomes.

  • Notes: helped review details and documentation that was needed for reaccreditation of the college (student services department) every 5 years. completed two reviews.

  • Created welcome call checklist to keep track of advisor to student contact each start of term. This includes using the training wheels method.
  • Helped develop the beginning stages of a technology agreement that students need to adhere to.
