-Leading the Operations Strategy and Programs team for North American Customer Returns, 40+ fulfillment centers employing 50k+ employees. Team responsibilities and overall structure:
Capacity, Design & Launch - consultant to worldwide design engineering, capacity planning and launch to ensure design optimization and expeditious delivery of all North American Customer Return topology efforts
Reverse Logistics Transportation - manages network load balancing, optimization of network capacity and overall amazon transportation network asset management. Collaborates with multi- functional teams across operations and support verticals to improve accuracy and efficiency of overall Reverse Logistics Transportation network.
Distributed Network - end to end management of all Customer Return grading activities existing outside of core network. Responsible for distributed network performance, influencing excellence through partnership with cross-functional teams and multiple business units demonstrating continued success in driving improvements to both accuracy and speed of customer returns grading.
PMO/New Technology - Project Management Office for NA Returns Network, end to end project tracking and facilitation of change process. Partners with external stakeholders and product teams to provide crisp insight as to business requirements for future product delivery. Development of internal operations tools to increase efficiency in day to day performance.
Ops Integration / Subject Matter Experts - responsible for integrating network wide programs and product delivery. Providing detailed knowledge of both "back-end" and "front-end" user experience to provide insight needed for optimal product development.
· Led North American Reverse Logistics Operations team to develop encompassing quality program for all of Amazon Customer Returns. Program reduced negative customer experiences by 165k instances and improved recovery by $108MM annually.
· Innovator and Leader of production cost out activities utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles and processes to drive over $70MM of production related cost savings.
· 2x Amazon Reverse Logistics Peak Champion awarded for running best operation in all of amazon during peak weeks for Customer Returns.
· Designed, owned, and executed the launch of two Customer Return buildings using state of the art Amazon technology and design standards.
· Developer and Manager of 60+ salaried leaders of which over the last two years promoted 8 leaders to Senior Manager, and three to lead other Amazon buildings across the network.
· Recognized by Lt. Governor for efforts and leadership to create first ever Work-2-GED program (Project Aspire). Worked with technical colleges to create a program that employed individuals without GED then provided support for obtainment. Program was adopted by all of Amazon worldwide.
· Established and administered annual budget with controls to prevent overages, minimize burn rate and support sustainability objectives.
· Identified and resolved unauthorized, unsafe or ineffective practices which led to the lowest LTIR and RIR rates for Customer Returns Network wide.
· Drove year-over-year business growth while leading operations, strategic vision and long-range planning.
