Work History

Quality Inspector

Formsprag Clutch
Warren, MI
06.2022 - Current
  • When I first started working during the summer of 2022, I was tasked with updating existing drawings for our clutches and making new ones from scratch in a lot of instances
  • Sometimes the drawings will call for parts that didn't exist in Autodesk Vault, so I designed them based on preexisting information from other parts on Autodesk Inventor
  • I got the long list of drawings and assemblies updated in a total of six weeks, and that was me taking my time, if rushed, I could've done in three or four
  • After I finished the work list, I was laid off because it was a summer internship that ended Labor Day 2022
  • When I came back in January 2023, I was assigned to be a Quality Inspector
  • Scanning sprag parts is the main job, but every now and then, my supervisor will put my CAD expertise to the test by designing parts that help around the shop floor
  • While scanning parts, I have been analyzing them and gained a general understanding of their tolerance levels, and the various design requirements that go into them
  • While working as a Quality Inspector, I would be given CAD projects to work on
  • On one such project, I was given the task of designing a cover for a metal container we use to dispose of defective parts
  • The requirements for it were that it had to be easily lifted off with a forklift and must have a door/hatch that closes immediately after letting go
  • The problem was the disposal bin, which was supposed to be for defective parts (sprags, retainers, small pieces of metal), was also being used by various others to throw away large objects like small cabinets, so I limited the size of what could fit through the hatch to one square foot
  • After a few weeks of designing and improving on design, the result was a perfect fit for the bin that met all the requirements

Courtesy Clerk

Kroger Stores
Richmond, MI
01.2019 - Current
  • I am physically capable of most jobs I am given
  • While working at Kroger, I mostly maintain and operate the recycling center; this involves loading and unloading bins full of aluminum cans, plastic bottles, and glass bottles, and maintaining the machines
  • I use an electric stacker to stack the bins, and the bins with glass can weigh up to a ton, and there are days in which I have to move around 10 bins in a day
  • Also, from time to time, I have to empty out the bailer where we dispose of our cardboard, and cube it, before it gets shipped off to the recycling plant
  • I am good a deductive analysis
  • In order to better maintain the recycling center, I analyzed the inner workings of the machines, which gave me a better sense in finding out what the problem was and how to fix them
  • I am capable of being a leader and working with others
  • Having been there for six years, come January 2025, I have seniority in the workplace, so I help the rookies (employees, mostly teenagers new to the workforce, who have been there less than six months) and other coworkers in whatever projects they need help with
  • I like working on my own, but I can and will work with a team if the need arises

Store Stocker

Goodwill Industries
Port Huron, MI
08.2018 - 10.2018
  • While working at this Goodwill, I had to demonstrate physical capabilities
  • I would have to help move furniture around in the store, this included sofas, dressers, and cabinets
  • I also demonstrated organizational skills, as I organized area where we kept our books, and had to put certain types of clothing in the appropriate place
  • I demonstrated mathematical skills when I served as a cashier and had to count our profits for the day
