• Efficiently oversee and manage 15,000 shipments, contributing to quarterly revenue totaling over $30
million.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders and external customers to understand their logistics requirements
and ensure that services meet or exceed expectations. This includes resolving issues, addressing concerns,
and fostering long-term relationships.
• Design optimal routes for shipments based on delivery deadlines, distance, traffic conditions, and
transportation modes.
• Select appropriate carriers or transportation service providers such as freight forwarders, trucking companies
or shipping lines based on service requirements, cost considerations, and reliability.
• Negotiate transportation rates, manage transportation budgets, and seek ways to minimize transportation
costs while meeting service level agreements.
• Consistently achieve transportation pickup times at 98.8% and maintain an on-time delivery rate of 99.1%.
• Assess and mitigate risks related to transportation, such as delays, disruptions, and potential bottlenecks in
the supply chain.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and managing transportation-related documentation,
including customs clearance for shipments that cross international borders.
• Monitor performance of transportation activities, track key performance indicators, such as on-time delivery
rates, transportation costs, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Utilize transportation management system and other technology tools to streamline transportation
operations, track shipments in real-time, and optimize routing and scheduling.
• Collaborate with other functions within supply chain management, including procurement, warehousing, and
customer service to ensure seamless coordination and communication throughout the supply chain.
• Continuously evaluate and improve transportation processes, strategies, and relationships with carriers to
enhance efficiency, reduce costs and improve service levels.
