MOTIVES

  • In middle school, I took a compulsory aptitude test which caused me to skip 2 grades of math so I took algebra in 7th grade. In high school, I wasn’t learning anything meaningful so I decided to take the GED after my junior year and skip my senior year of high school. I’ve always had little interest in school and had a deep mistrust of the education system. But this all changed because of AI. My once-faded interest in school was rekindled with my deep passion for AI Research. While you don’t need college to learn how to make Neural Networks, you do need it if you want to know the true essence of AI and how to conduct groundbreaking research. While I’ve always disliked school and I will probably hate most college classes, it’s worth all the hardship if I get to learn more about AI and become a noteworthy researcher.
  • My second reason for wanting to go to college is so I can improve my social skills. While I get along well with others, I’m introverted so I’ve never been proactive in making friends. After I finished secondary education early it became very hard for me to make friends except for online. It might seem like overkill for meeting people, but college is truly the perfect chance for me to meet new people and enhance my social skills
