I started as a permit coordinator for our Fenton, Mo., Chicago,Il., and Indianapolis, IN locations
In this role I ensure that all water heater installs in these regions are permitted and inspections are scheduled with the municipalities after install is complete
In these regions I apply for these permits in over 50 municipalities because we service an area 3 hours around our office locations
The means and information varies from place to place on how these permits are pulled
I currently apply for one licensed plumber that has 2 apprentices
Then I was assigned the permit coordinator position over standby home generator installs
In that position I serviced Nashville Tn, Cape Girardeau Mo., Springfield, Mo., and Chicago Il
This is another position that required permits to be pulled in 50+ municipalities
Usually two types of permits were pulled installing a standby home generator
An Electrical and Mechanical permit
In both positions I work closely with sub contractors we use in certain areas
In which case, I'm pulling building permits as the general contractor, then those sub contractors tie into that building permit
I use a General knowledge of Service Titan, Microsoft office, Adobe, google spreadsheet and computer skills ect

Standby home generators of today, have a programmable PLC, AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator) a mod buss system for communications, and requires extensive knowledge of circuits
