- Provide training to crew regarding small arms and ordnance safety, and other classified subjects.
- Responsible for loading, unloading, shipping, unshipping, and indexing ordnance in all roles from the most junior to most senior positions.
- Work with Naval shipyard and various other contractors to troubleshoot, repair, replace, and overhaul weapons and magazines, and all related or interconnected systems to include creating and executing 3D plans, creating, approving, and executing work packages from scratch, reviewing engineering drawings and technical manuals for information, reference, and accuracy regarding maintenance items.
- Oversee and work on QA level and subsafe systems as both QAI and craftsman, and other related duties such as ordering and stowing parts.
- Damage control including but not limited to firefighting, flooding/ruptures, toxic gas, injured personnel, and weapons casualties.
- Operate submarine control surfaces through all ranges of depth, speeds, and weather conditions.
- Understand and operate various ships systems unrelated to my own specialty.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentability about the ship extending outside my own work area, to include dusting/sweeping, grinding, waxing, painting, dewatering, and organizing.
