  • Led a section of 20+ high school trombone players, while collaborating with other section leaders to support a band of 180+ members.
  • Taught Freshmen how to use the right techniques, while also supporting them through their first year of high school and marching band, learning how to best teach and befriend younger students.
  • Maintained band culture and community of a diverse section, while still focusing on disicipline and personal growth, learning personable skills.
  • Communicated with band directors and other section leaders on how to adjust teaching styles and properly communicate with section members to push everyone to be their best.
  • Supported band to place 7th in Area in the most competitive marching band region in the state, missing state by 4 spots, and being the most successful band in school history.

  • Recieved 1s, superior ratings, for every solo competition I've participated in the last 3 years.
  • Auditioned and made the school Jazz band for all years of highschool, meeting outside of school to play advanced music of different styles, broadening my musical capabilities, and receiving muiltiple outstanding soloist awards for improvisation.

  • Participated in several summer camps, meeting talented performers and learning from diverse and skilled trombone instructors.
  • Performed yearly christmas concerts in the local mall, meeting a community of players near me, and enriching the community through merry performances, widening my musical knowledge and portfolio.
  • Performed a pre concert performance for world renowned performer Joe Alessia in the Meyerson Sypmphony Center, and later meeting him, showcasing the groups quality.
  • Participated in a masterclass with renowned trombonist Peter Steiner, learning how a professional tackles auditions and how to mentally prepare for pressure.

  • Mowed lawns weekly during the spring, summer, and fall for senior community members unable to do it themselves.
  • For band, participated in and led various service projects, including the dusting and rearranging of a large trophy stand, and the repainting of a marching band lot. This led to homemade constructions to assist the project, and managing a team to repaint over 3000 individual dots over the course of a weekend.
  • Assisted in several Eagle Scout projects, including repainting fire hydrants, and building benches for local churches, learning collaboration and supporting friend's accomplishments.
