I am a newly graduated mechanical engineer that is organized and dependable candidate successful at managing multiple priorities with a positive attitude. I also excel in team-based work environments because I value the input of those around me to create the best possible solution to a problem. I am willing to take on added responsibilities and learn new knowledge to meet team goals and achieve success.
During my last year of my engineering degree, I worked on a capstone project for Honeywell that provided me insight into a professional, team-based project experience. The project entailed my team creating a re-designed thermal management system for a precision volume tester that needed to be maintained at a certain temperature within a specific tolerance. The timeline of the project or Gantt chart was created and modified by the entire team over the entire course of the project to keep track of the progress. Throughout the project I provided ideas for the design as well as taking it upon myself to create the bill of materials and order everything we needed for the project. I also drew up an experiment plan for data collection of our prototype as well as getting the necessary equipment needed approved by a professor to make sure the right equipment was being ordered for our prototype and experiment. Finally, I put together the prototype, set up the experiment, and recorded the data to include in our technical report for our finished product as well as writing up specific sections within the technical report. The result of the project showed that the proof of concept was feasible, but needed to be expanded upon further.
