Coast Guard Reservist with over 11 years of military service and 16 years as a Sergeant with the Nevada Highway Patrol. Currently serving on Title 10 orders in Norfolk, Virginia with the Reserve Mobilization Team at the Operational Logistics Command.

Objective: To earn a commission as a Coast Guard officer and apply my leadership, operational experience, and commitment to service in support of mission readiness and the development of the workforce.

Work History

Administrative Support - SELRES

  • Provide administrative support to for leadership programs across the service.
  • Assisted in revamping the Coast Guard Inspirational Leadership Awards submission process by redesigning forms and making it easier for commands to nominate members.
  • Selected for the Reserve Mobilization Team (RMT) following the service-wide solicitation announced in ALCOAST 189/24.
  • Volunteered for Title 14 & 10 orders in support of Operation River Wall through February 2027 to meet mission requirements during a shortage of volunteers.
  • Assisted in generating more than 745 Title 14, Title 10, ADOS, and MEDHOLD orders in support of Operation River Wall and Operation Border Trident.
  • Assumed responsibility for DEMOB planning, developed standardized DEMOB templates, completed more than 77 DD-214s.
  • Helped implement Reserve Readiness Program requirements by developing LOGCOM’s tracking tool that monitors readiness across 23 bases with over 580 members.

Traffic Homicide Unit - Sergeant

  • Supervise a team of seven detectives responsible for fatality related and high-profile investigations.
    • Manage over 200 complex investigations annually involving scene management, vehicle data analysis, evidence review, case management, and reporting.
    • Recently served as Acting Lieutenant, overseeing all Las Vegas Urban Swing Shift operations and supervising more than 45 troopers and sergeants.
  • Responsible for managing a 120-hour Crash Investigation curriculum and training nearly 80 Nevada Highway Patrol cadets each year.

Mentor Program Analyst - LT-ADOS

  • Support a mentoring platform that served more than 4,000 Coast Guard members with over 1,000 mentoring connections across the Active Duty, Reserve, and civilian workforce.
  • Created over 174 mentoring communities, expanding access to mentorship and professional development opportunities.
  • Traveled more than 80,000 miles to every Coast Guard district and conducted over 200 in-person and virtual trainings, engagements, and briefings to promote the program.
  • Provided flag-level leaders with updates on program effectiveness, participation, engagement trends, retention, and recruitment.
  • Earned recognition through the 2021 Captain Niels P. Thomsen Innovation Award for supporting culture change through mentorship and leveraging artificial intelligence to help break barriers and connect Coast Guard members.

Tactical Crew Member

  • Qualified as a boat crew member, coxswain, and tactical crew member in support of PSU 311 operational missions, totaling over 200 missions and more than 700 hours of underway experience.
  • Deployed under Operation Enduring Freedom to JTF GTMO in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Supported more than 6,500 hours of anti-terrorism and force protection missions, including 250 maritime threats and 200 vessel escorts.
  • Deployed in support of COVID-19 with DOL-44 in Alameda, CA, replenishing over 1 million PPE items valued at $8.5 million to 770 Coast Guard units.
  • Deployed as a tactical boat crew member for Joint Logistics Over-the-Shore (JLOTS) Seattle, WA, in June 2016. Performed on a multi-agency disaster recovery scenario affecting the Puget Sound.
