My speciality is primarily producing mass quantities of precision endmills. My department, which is ran by only me, has 5 machines running around the clock producing endmills, and occasionally precision drills. The machines I run are ANCA software , and they are equipped with FANUC robots to load the endmill blanks. I also run a NUMROTO ULMER, and this machine is used to make high precision drills. In my department is also a ANCA CPX, which is a OD grinder with a loader robot attacher. I am trained to use shadow graphs (Comparators) and a PG1000 Camera used to check and ensure the tools are up to specifications. The tolerances on these tools ranges from numbers in the 0.005” all the way down to .0002”. I also use a wide array of micrometers and dial calipers to ensure everything is up to tolerance as well.
