
I supervise employees of the 24 hour UCJIS Helpdesk. I monitor, meet with, coach, train, recognize, and discipline personnel. I verify timely completion of all section work, which includes; phone calls, emails and other forms of communication from criminal justice agencies, setting up, managing and deleting UCJIS accounts, completing fingerprint background checks on all UCJIS users, monitoring of all NLETS communication for the state, editing and updating of the section's extensive knowledge base, and many other tasks. I work with the section, performing all of these duties. I update processes and procedures as they need. I work with BCI management to update BCI policies that are applicable to our section. I manage and maintain a 24/7 schedule, ensuring every shift is covered and there are no times when we cannot be reached. All while making sure employees are happy with the schedule. CIC is the first contact for AMBER Alerts, and I alert the necessary BCI, DPS and DTS people when one is being issued. I am essentially on-call to handle questions, scheduling issues, public alerts and any other problem that may arise after hours or on weekends. Each year, I attend TAC Conference and assist Field Services coordinate the conference and by training on UCJIS and CIC matter. I am currently the BCI Information Security Officer. I am also part of the DPS safety committee.
Perform triannual audits of all criminal justice agencies that use UCJIS. Participated in the FBI audit for the state of Utah. Prepared training material. Trained criminal justice agencies on how to use UCJIS along with correct privacy, dissemination and security in using the system. Helped plan and host annual TAC conference. Helped design, test, implement and train on new UCJIS transactions.
Test soil and asphalt compaction on constriction sites for compliance. Slump test concrete on construction sites for compliance.
