With time spent working under Sarah Orlofske, I have developed deal of research experiences, covering a broad range of biological based research . Much of my time working within the lab has been spent pushing to learn new concepts and skills utilized in a lab. I have also spent a large section of the summer working on a established project with a developed background. Time was spent both in the lab developing skills with microscopes and slides and keeping an organized digital infrastructure as well as working in the field with collecting specimens for current and future projects. Skills developed in the lab similar to my interests are flexible and explorative. Spending time making slides, working with others on dissections and vouchering different specimens I have worked to develop a wide skill set. Time has also been spent creating communication skills from presenting posters, such as in June of 2023 where we presented for the Annual Midwestern Conference of Parasitologist (AMCOP), as well as presenting at the Wisconsin Society for Ornithology. I have also worked with the UWSP Health Care Organization doing volunteer work in the community. With a study focus on physics as well as biology I hope to bring a unique skill set to the sciences.
