  • My assigned programs are Ladders, Maps, Wildland, Accountability, Flight Line Driver, and Technical Orders. I ensure that items are up to date and make recommendations if there needs to be an improvement made.
  • Lead instructor for the newly assigned Airman to Dobbins Fire Department. I'm planning, organizing, and training them so they can complete their firefighter skill sheets, Career development courses, and various vehicle licenses.
  • I Planned and organized an end-of-year live fire training that also included forcible entry and search and rescue.
  • I instructed a half day nozzle forward class that focused on fundamentals and team building activities.
  • I instruct personnel on the shutdown procedures for the C-130 during emergency operations.
  • I finished the Lead Officer program book.
  • I fill in as station captain consistantly.
  • I Planned, organized, and instructed a half-day training event that included a Vent Enter Isolate Search Class, 1410 drill, and Firefighter Down search and rescue at the FD training grounds.

  • Seven individuals were assigned to me. I was responsible for ensuring their monthly training was completed, assigned and managed their extra duties, and helped them complete their career goals through career development courses.
  • I Planned and organized prescribed burning operations during the wildland fire seasons.
  • Utilized the ICS system during wildland fires, where I reported to operations as a lead for a strike team, task force team, or single resource.
  • I Instructed ten personnel for the YTCFD Fire Academy Hose applications and fire streams class, emphasizing nozzle-forward techniques for newly assigned and existing fire department members.
  • I Directed live fire operations of eight to twenty personnel at a time when YTCFD and mutual aid partners would use the training burn house.
  • Filled in as Assistant Chief of Operations when needed.

  • I filled in as a lead firefighter for the last 12 years, two to three times a pay period.
  • I was a task force team leader during the Taylor Pond incident, during which I was directly responsible for developing and executing a fire burn plan. I used 12 personnel from YTC and mutual aid partners to burn over 200 acres.
  • Programs that I have been in charge of CPR instructor, NFPA 1981-SCBA maintenance, NFPA 1802- Radio communications, NFPA 1962-Hose testing, NFPA 1932 - Ladder testing and analyze data for the accreditation team and then presented the information to help choose best practices.
