As the oldest daughter of first generation Asian parents, I'm expected to find ways to help take care of everyone, yet also balance my own life and priorities. Some days, just getting through the day and going through the motions is the most exhausting task, yet what has to be done still needs to be done, right? Despite this mental and physical struggle, I've adapted a positive mindset and outlook on life and try to find the good in things even when it seems impossible. Since it's only a bad day, not a bad life. Being the oldest in an immigrant household has brought me to experience things that may not seem normal or typical to other people, but these experiences have shaped me into a person who is able to quickly adapt to situations and always empathize with others.
