During my time at McDonalds I ended up getting promoted to Crew Trainer
In this position one was expected to perform all tasks that are expected of a Crew Member, but at the same time be able to coherently teach a new Crew Member
This required the ability explain tasks in multiple ways, have a high understanding of the job and what's expected from it, as well as being able to maintain performance while instructing a new team member
Depending on the trainee's experience would depend on how much shadowing, instruction, and first hand experience they would receive in a given day
It's up to the trainer to decide how the trainee would be trained on a given day
Crew Member
McDonalds
Byron, MN
05.2019 - 12.2019
During my time there I worked various job positions from the drive thru and front counter all the way to the various kitchen roles
I spent most of my time in the kitchen assembling the incoming orders
This was a fast-paced work environment that required a good level of precision as well as communication with co-workers
One would be expected to properly communicate to other kitchen members about how much food they needed cooked while also communicating with those handing out the orders
If the situation were to arise where food was delayed that information could then be relayed to the customer
Cleanliness and sanitation was also practiced and held to a high standard
You had to wash your hands before entering the kitchen as well as put on gloves before touching any cooked or raw food
You also had to immediately dispose of your gloves after touching raw food or anything else that isn't sanitary
