🔷Performs general nursing responsibilities, and I am tasked with the high standard of care with medical/tele/post -surgical patients.
🔷Handled various nursing responsibilities, including patient treatment, monitoring and documentation. Ensures that all patients receive appropriate treatment and are informed of their condition and or/ changes as required.
🔷Perform general nursing responsibilities, including assessments, medication administration, admissions and discharges, plan of care development and patient /family education.
🔷Administered direct nursing care to patients with life-threatening illnesses, including acute myocardial infarction, massive trauma, congestive heart failure, respiratory failure and cerebrovascular disease.
🔷Diabetes management/patient and family teaching
Inserted NG tube, cared for patients with Peg and G-tubes
Central line care, administration of medications through central line, central line blood drawing,
Intravenous therapy, phlebotomy.
🔷Performed general and surgery-specific post-op assessments. Inspect patients for bleeding abnormalities and post-op complications such as DVT, check vital signs, wound dressing changes, pain control management, monitor urine output, and IV sites and also assess confusion level of patients, monitor skin color, sensation level of consciousness and mobility and daily skin checks on all patients, especially immobile patients.
🔷Confirmed administration of patients existing medications in addition to post-op prescription
Notify physicians of patients’ conditions, changes, and abnormal lab results
