Additional Information

After graduating from medical college, I moved from India to Uganda, East Africa, with my husband. I completed a residency in general surgery and pediatrics from 1968-1970. After the birth of my child in 1970, I took one year off. Because of political turmoil in Uganda, I was forced to move to Kenya and was then relocated to a refugee camp in Italy. My family was allowed to settle in the US in 1972. I passed the ECFMG in 1973 and started my internship in1974.
