My original spark of interest began when I was five-years-old. Watching television with my late grandmother, we previewed Chef, Alton Brown, scientifically breaking down the approach of how to make mashed potatoes and why it chemically works. Being the book-worm I've always been, I adore learning (specifically the history, math's and sciences of time). Essentially begging my grandmother to please show me the way of this classic creation that we've all grown to love as an American staple, she easily agreed because of my eagerness. Being as ecstatic as I was, I studied how she just understood everything. She knew the inexact , exact consistency, taste, smell from years of undeniable knowledge. Combining knowledge and curiosity with love and skill, essentially pure talent, my love for the kitchen was undeniably certain; being purely inescapable.
