25, Previously with Central Laborers’, I worked as a “floater” performing duties for all 3 departments. My primary duties were with Employer Contributions where I worked reaching out to new members and getting their addresses updated and assisting them with understanding their benefits. I worked with welfare by mailing out payments and EOBs to providers and members and before that, I worked in the eligibility and enrollment department for 4 of my 6 years. I helped all departments with translating documents from Spanish to English and assisting with the calls and inquiries of Spanish speaking members. I assisted pension and annuity by locating the addresses of members whose mail was returned, allowing these members to realize the benefits and monies that they have available to them., I have enlisted volunteers at the animal shelter in our area and I offer to train them on how to handle the animals safely and with care. I have been called upon to train and teach those at work the skills and ideas that I have learned to make our workdays more productive. I have written and published a book about health insurance titled ‘Managing Your Managed Care’ and that book was written to help ones understand and utilize medical insurance effectively.
