- I am assigned for Project for NSF (National Science Foundation) in which we are working on solving growing corrosion problem of marine ships when exposed to sea water for long period of time. Biofilm formation can be considered as primary step of corrosion
- Therefore, my work is primarily based on a recombinant protein named “Quorum sensing Proteins”. Majorly Sulfate reducing bacteria specifically Desulphovibrio alaskensis are seen to be responsible for the biocorrosion phenomena.
- My work is to check the biofilm growth on the 2D material when the material is exposed to Quorum sensing Proteins. While working on Protein I worked on the extraction, concentrating and purification of the protein.
- My work includes all the relevant expertise over the proteomics section of the project.

- I had opportunity to do a Research internship with Prof. Rajesh Sani (SDSMT, Rapid City, USA)) at South Dakota School Of Mines and technology Where I worked on methanotrophic Bacteria specifically Pseudomonas citronellols.
- We Grew the bacteria in the presence of methane to produce PHA (Polyhydroxyalkanoates). During my internship I learnt various microbiology, Molecular biology and bioinformatics techniques.
- Growing cultures in presence of methane, finding methane to PHA pathways using certain databases like Kegg, Biosac, Rast and doing DNA extraction, quantification for targeting PHA genes enhanced by Microbiology, Bioinformatics and Molecular skills that are required in the lab.
