I maintain files and databases and perform various data entry as needed. I am great at multi-tasking and meeting changing deadlines. With my computer skills, I compose and edit correspondence and memoranda using dictation, written and verbal direction.
Youth Ministry Volunteer

As a volunteer with the youth ministry at St. Mark's Lutheran church, I co-lead the high school/middle school Sunday school class and substitute in the other elementary-aged classes. I work with kids ranging in age from kindergarten to high school, helping them prepare and learn the music for Youth and Preschool Sunday. I worked with kids both one-on-one and in a group setting to help them learn their lines and music for the annual Christmas program. I led the high school/middle school kids in the Movies That Matter program during Family Night, using film to discuss controversial issues they face today. I volunteer at weekly youth group meetings through co-leading/planning the games, co-leading the high school discussion time and building relationships with the students. I serve on the Youth Action Committee and help plan and execute events and fundraisers such as the Crab Feed, Pancake Breakfasts, Survivor and the Winter Retreat. In the summer of 2010 I volunteered at Vacation Bible Camp, both in classes and preparing meals for the kids. I helped the youth director develop Sunday school lessons and Bible study material for the Mexico mission trips, and I assist with Children's Church when necessary.

As the Children's Music and Ministry Coordinator I am responsible for working with the Youth Director to provide quality programs for children ages preschool-5th grade. I have developed a Sunday School Curriculum and also weekly curriculum that focuses on the Heroes and Villains of the Bible. I am also responsible for participating in and often running Children's Church. I have also started a youth choir and have had to coordinate with band members as well as choir members. This also requires much preparation beforehand to learn and arrange the music and to identify what is needed. I also have met individually with kids to teach them various songs and work with them in more of a one on one setting to help them develop vocally. I have also begun to bring in other forms of drama and music for the kids to be involved in. I helped, write, direct, and stage the past two Christmas plays. I am responsible for coordinating with parents and volunteers to make the programs successful. I have planned special events for children; such as bowling days. I have also assisted the youth director in developing the program for our summer vacation bible camp as well as coordinated and participated in the musical portions of the program.
