Summary

I have had the privilege of being one of the EC 1100 Acute Rehab Charge Nurses for the past 7 years. It has been an honor to serve patients and to serve my colleagues during this time. I have grown up in Rehab and have seen many changes throughout the years. As a new grad nurse, I was mentored and encourage to grow by my outstanding leadership and team. In 2018, I accepted a Charge Nurse position and have been able to gown my leadership and clinical expertise to ensure efficient and effective healthcare delivery while applying the Loma Linda Values to every shift. I have found it to be a privilege to cover for my NOC manager when needed and have been able to learn so much from leadership during that time. I believe that leading by example is the best way to bring the team together and to foster teamwork. In 2023 I became a Skin Care Champion and that has allowed me to provide extra knowledge and guidance for my team and patients. In 2025, I developed an Educational Poster for the Waffle Overlay that was presented during our Magnet Survey. Throughout my years as a Charge Nurse, I have been honored to receive the Values Exemplar award for Compassion as well as two, Top Nominee Daisy awards. I hope to continue to exemplify care and compassion for the team and patients that I serve. I am committed to the mission and values of Loma Linda University and plan to continue to grow and contribute to this amazing institution.
