I went far and beyond to help patients with their financial needs. Anything I could do to accommodate in regards to patients medical financial needs. Such as buying medicine, food, referring to outside resources. I would always listen to help understand the needs of patients. If I could not accommodate to the best of my knowledge, I would always go to upper management for assistance. I also assisted a 90yrd old woman by helping her with personal care and needs outside of the hospital after the passing of her daughter. I would always stay late at work or work through my lunch break to assure that the patients would be taken care to avoid them of missing their scheduled clinic appointment. The award was presented to me by Metro Dade County city commissioner's. If I couldn't get the job done, I would always go to upper management. I taught myself to speak spanish to make my job easier in assisting the patients which was always recognized in my evaluations.
