Future Goals

I am seeking a career in health care as I continue to attend school to obtain a nursing degree. I feel confident that I would make a great candidate for either the clerical side or taking on a more hands on role. With my current experience, I believe I can carry out day-to-day duties accurately and effectively. Some responsibilities I feel I would adequately be able to complete are, checking vitals such as temperature, blood pressure and blood sugar levels. Measuring height and weight. Helping patients effectively manage routine bathing, grooming, and other hygienic needs. Document patient symptoms, medical history, current medications, intake and outtake, as well as collaborate with peers and attend meetings to discuss resolution of any ongoing issues. Report unusual or urgent circumstances in patients condition or environment immediately to supervisor in charge. Answer call lights and support patient comfort and safety. Maximize patient satisfaction by helping individuals carry out personal tasks. I plan to utilize my nursing knowledge to identify patient needs and offer appropriate remedies. I also understand that there may be a need to take on additional shifts and extra hours during busy periods and holidays to maintain proper staffing and floor coverage. My goal is to preform high quality patient care whilst demonstrating respect, friendliness and willingness to help wherever needed.
