Conducted research and provided reports on staff chosen buildings along Harvard Street to aid in future town planning.

Completed a written review and summary of the Preservation Commission’s multiyear process to update the Local Historic District Design Guidelines. Provided a document outlining Town preservation related priorities. Provided research and findings of surrounding municipalities’ affordable housing and preservation projects using Community Preservation Act funds.

Administered Local Landmark and Demolition Delay Ordinances. Processed applications for review and prepared research and recommendations in a staff memorandum for all applications going before the Historical Commission. Reviewed plans for all exterior renovations to buildings listed on the state’s inventoried database of historic properties, as well as those in Local Landmark sites or with Preservation Restrictions. Staffed public hearings of the Historical Commission and published meeting minutes. Provided comments on Section 106 and State reviews. Worked with other City departments, property owners, developers and the general public on a wide variety of preservation subjects.
