Accomplishments


  • Facilitated learning outside of the classroom. Resulted in active participation from all students, minimal redirection of behavior and understanding of material by students who exhibited difficulty initially.
  • Reintroduced Science fair at Carver Middle School. Worked with Baylor University Microbiology Department on a collaborative program that consisted of 35 Carver students and 55 Baylor Students. Students worked collectively on various microbiology lab experiments which were presented to staff members, professors and other students on Baylor campus. Carver students were expected to present and explain experiments, answer questions and correspond with members of Baylor University.
  • Consistently used strategies of Restorative Discipline which resulted in minimal classroom disruptions and taking the lead during 'circles'.
