Accomplished School Counselor with 12 years' experience advising students on academic, mental health and social issues. Additional expertise in counseling students on career paths and higher education options. Focused on adhering to the established objectives of counseling programs.
I was a recipient of the Counselors Reinforcing Excellence in Students in Texas (CREST) Award. I have been maximizing student success and outcomes for over 19 years. The implementation of a campus initiative called Random Acts of Kindness Challenge and everything it entails is what has won her the award.
Morevoer, I submitted an application that consisted of creating a website where she highlighted the school counseling initiative that was implemented on her campus. I provided a detailed explanation as to how the Random Acts of Kindness Challenge was implemented and how it covered the four general curricular content areas such as interpersonal effectiveness, intrapersonal effectiveness, personal health and safety, and postsecondary education and career readiness.
“I was very excited to get the news and grateful for this award. “The submitting process requires documentation but it is well worth it especially when you get to showcase the great things that we are doing at Escobar/Rios Elementary.”
