Role: Project lead member
The Placement Information System is a web-based application designed to automate and streamline the campus placement process. Developed during my college tenure, this project focuses on evaluating student eligibility for placements based on predefined criteria such as academic performance, attendance, and skill sets.
Built using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the frontend, the system offers a user-friendly interface for seamless navigation. The backend is powered by Java Server Pages (JSP) for dynamic content rendering and MySQL for efficient database management. The project was built using Maven as the build tool and deployed on the Apache Tomcat server.
Key features include role-based access for students, placement officers, and administrators, enabling each user to perform specific tasks. Students can submit their details, check eligibility status, and receive automated notifications about placement drives. Placement officers can manage student profiles, update eligibility criteria, and schedule recruitment events. Recruiters can access a filtered list of eligible candidates and post job opportunities.
