- Developed feature that enables taxing customers for Amazon Pharmacy orders, leveraging existing Amazon retail tax systems and business logic. Led design and implementation of the feature, exempting taxes for orders using government insurance.
- Designed and implemented software solutions for Amazon Restaurants product, which allows customers to order food and get it delivered within 60 minutes of the promised delivery window, similar to Grubhub/Doordash.
- Developed a feature to increase customer selection for ordering food from restaurants. Initially, delivery ranges for a restaurant were defined at the 5-digit ZIP code level, with a ZIP code only being deliverable if it was deliverable to 95% of customers in that ZIP code. This project enabled increased selection by defining the delivery range at a more granular ZIP+2 level.
- Collaborated with a senior engineer to design and implement the Restaurants Labor Planner feature, which generates driver schedules required to fulfill forecasted restaurant orders. The driver schedule consists of blocks of time, with the number of drivers required in each block.
- Communicating with users, other technical teams and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs and product strategy.
