Was awarded the IMPACT Award for my role in a suicide on one of our wards. Before the majority of the nursing staff even knew what had happened, I had designated fellow employees to begin special duties, and I personally took care of the cleaning and sterilization of the room, the gathering and inventory of the patients personal belongings and helping the police with what they needed. The nursing staff was very close to him and this was very traumatic for everyone involved, so I took on the entire responsibility of the room myself so they didn't have to burden it. I received a certificate for my achievement and was recognized in a company meeting and the company website and given a small monetary award as well.
