Working with the public and providing excellent customer service is something I have been very passionate and energetic about for over a decade. My ability to adapt in various environments while also communicating and connecting with a wide range of people on a daily basis is something I pride myself on. I strive to create great experiences for the people I interact with, and excel when it comes to working under pressure.
I feel as though I would be a fantastic addition as a WIC client ambassador, given my personal experiences with being enrolled in the program. In 2017 I started to receive WIC benefits for the first time, and am also currently enrolled which started again in 2024. I have a solid understanding of the benefits offered during pregnancy, and also what changes and is offered after the childs first birthday. I also have some experience with what is offered in regard to resources and support groups for breastfeeding mothers, and am a huge advocate when it comes to breastfeeding. I love to cook, and am excellent at incorporating the items offered by the program to make meals fun. Given my background in customer service and the service industry, I'm confident in my ability to build strong connections with clients and create memorable experiences for them. I am also currently enrolled at Oakland Community College and pursing an associates degree in mental health/social work. The classes I have taken thus far are exclusively mental health related, which would not only be a great advantage for me but would also make me a fantastic fit for this position working with the public. My college courses are also exclusively online, which has given me quite a bit of experience with remote-based work and communications. I am extremely confident In my abilities to excel in this position, and am looking forward to the opportunity to be a part of this program.
