Clinical duties: completing individual daily rounds, history taking/documentation, physical and laboratory diagnostics, implementing medical management of inpatient care including diagnostic tests, interventional procedures, labs, radiological imaging, medications, nutrition, and resuscitation of newborns at delivery. Coverage for night call, labor and delivery, and all preterm/high risk/ emergent deliveries. Supervision and education of pediatric and physician assistant residents.
Clinical duties: providing pre and post surgical patient care in the outpatient and inpatient setting; first assisting in the OR and responding to surgical consultations from the emergency department, inpatient floor, and private outpatient office; assessing need for surgical intervention and implementing appropriate management based on patient history, physical exam, labs, imaging and overall clinical presentation.
Medical reviewer working with Medicare/Medicaid program: medical decision making for prior- authorization, concurrent review, quality management, credentialing, and guideline/policy development.
