Identifies opportunities for DHP participation in community events that foster good community relations while promoting the Health Plan and its programs.
Ensures that an adequate supply of promotional inventory is on hand.
Reviews and approves new partnership opportunities with School Based Organizations (SBOs), Faith Based Organizations (FBOs), and Community Based Organizations (CBOs) in Service Areas.
Collaborates with community groups, grassroots organizations, schools, parent groups, social services groups, political action groups, health professional and paraprofessional individuals and groups to communicate issues appropriate to DHP programs, child health, Medicaid issues, and managed care issues.
Health Education Specialist:
Oversees that Health Education Specialists complete all monthly, quarterly and annual health education presentations.
Ensures that Health Education Specialists support outreach efforts in the community when community outreach representatives request support.

Get Ready for Baby Program:
Oversees and manages programmatic activities based on program goals, objectives, and strategies.
Monitors program budget and expenditures and identifies strategies focused on improving processes to create efficiencies and cost savings.

Ensures an adequate number of monthly showers are scheduled in both Nueces and Hidalgo Service Areas.
Ensures baby shower sits/locations are located within the community-targeted areas of members.
Ensures members receive education to cover the First, Second, and Third trimesters of pregnancy.
