  • This opportunity allowed me to put my skills I learned in Medical Assistant training through real life situations in the pain management sector. I got to learn so much about different medications, different conditions regarding the spine, and how to interact with patients. I was able to refine my skills of triaging patients and intramuscular injections. I also learned how to use Athena which is used to manage the practice and patient records.

  • Currently working as a Medical Assistant at a clinic that specializes in pain management of patients who sustained injuries in motor vehicle accidents, patients who struggle with weight loss, and patients who have been experiencing pain in general.
  • I currently help out by drawing up Trigger Point Injections and B-12 Injections, triaging patients, taking vitals including blood pressure, weight, and pulse, and filing of documents.
