Machine Learning Music Visualizer - Created a simple feed forward neural network to extract notes from music and compared it to Logistic Regression, KNN, and SVM algorithms.
Created a Finite Element Mesh mode solver in python using only numpy and scipy to solve a dielectric waveguide mode and estimate coupling efficiency
Simulated the Purity of Single Photons Generated through Spontaneous Parametric Down Conversion (Difference Frequency Generation). Used python to simulate the joint spectral amplitudes of the pump and KDP crystal and how that JSA evolves as it propagates in a medium with group velocity dispersion
Personal Projects
Person Tracking Vehicle - Built a vehicle that follows people using computer vision. Designed and 3d printed an 80-watt vehicle. Built a custom brushed motor controller capable of driving two 100-watt motors. A raspberry pi running OpenCV is used to track and detect people.
Custom Brushless Motor Controller - Designed and built a PCB to control brushless motors at relatively high powers ~1.5kW. Used an stm32 as the controller and wrote custom FOC firmware.
Awards and Achievments
Eagle Scout - Achieved the rank of Eagle Scout from Boy Scouts of America troop 642 at the age of 16. For my Eagle Project, I built Dog Waste Stations for the HSPCA (Houston Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).
2nd Place Winner of 2018 Houston Inventathon - Built a supercapacitor regenerative bicycle braking system.
Hart Award Winner of 2017 Houston Inventathon - Built an "exercise motivator" that gives the user a slight electric shock when it senses a lack of activity.
