I was the System Administrator for Oracle Applications. Functional lead supporting GL, AP and AR modules. Lead the team of software developers to maintain the various applications on various platforms. Understand the needs of the users, design enhancements and create technical specifications. Ensure, quality work delivered on time. Maintain good morale in the team, do code reviews, design reviews and ensure the mortgage application is up 24x7. Ryland moved their data center from MD to CA in the yr 2000 and lost their whole staff. I was involved in the move, getting the systems up here, building a new team, streamlining their IT needs, installing Progress on the new machines, upgrades and making the ODBC connection for Crystal to both Unifi and Databank databases, etc.
