I began my Law Enforcement profession in December 1991 as a Patrol Officer with New Castle County Division of Police. I served at each supervisory rank within the Division of Police retiring in 2021 as the Chief of Police. I currently serve as the Director of Public Safety for New Castle County. I have amassed the ability to work closely with team members to achieve the goals we set. I have thorough understanding of leadership, team building, conflict resolution, confidentiality, transparency and honesty. I do not shy from difficult decisions or situations. I am organized and dependable. I effectively communicate all pertinent information to my direct supervisor. I possess the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy. I champion the need for training personnel on how to respond appropriately in crisis situations with detailed protocols and clear communication. I believe in policy development and the process of evaluating the effectiveness of policies.
