Roles held as the Deputy Vice Chancellor of finance & administration
● Managing people especially the finance and ops team and the overall financial operations of the organization.
● Cash Flow & Budget Manager. Creating, present, implement and monitor the budget execution of two entities we have, including Akilah Foundation US (510c3) and Davis College Rwanda.
● Financial Controller. Monitoring payables, receivables, month end transactions until we have proper financials for presentation both internally and externally.
● Maintaining proper accounting records including inter company’s transactions between the US foundation and Rwandan entity.
● Quarterly financial presentation to the board of directors and finance committee both in the US and Rwanda
● Initiating and monitoring the implementation of internal financial controls
● External Grants Manager, working directly with the development team by creating grant budget proposals, presenting financial information to the donors and report back once a grant is matured
