Dynamic leader and problem solver with a track record of fostering a love for swimming and enhancing young swimmers' skills at Clearwater Aquatic Team. Certified in G-Metrix Entrepreneurship and skilled in Python coding, I excel in creating supportive, educational environments. Proven ability in event planning and time management, honing leadership through the high school swim team and impactful work at Pinellas Preparatory Academy. Receiving the Coaches Award for my dedication in swimming during the 2023 high school season was a profound honor that reflected the culmination of my hard work, determination, and commitment to the sport. Throughout that season, I invested countless hours into refining my technique, improving my times, and pushing myself beyond my limits. To conclude, winning the Bottle Sumo Time trial and achieving second place overall in the robotics competition in 2022 ignited my passion for engineering and robotics, propelling me to pursue further learning and innovation in the field.
Since I am in the International Baccalaureate, IB, I am supposed to do a 18 months of service for CAS, Creativity, Activity, and Service. The exposure group offers a great option for kids who've moved past basic swim lessons. I want to spark a lifelong love for swimming in a fun, supportive setting just like how Coach Steve did for me when I was younger. The Exposure Competitive Swim Team meets on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, so I will try my best to volunteer every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday for an hour.
This was a one day clinic where my high school teammates and I set up a swim clinic for our CAS project in the month of March of this year. A swim clinic for younger swimmers is a special event where kids and teens learn and practice essential swimming skills in a fun and supportive setting. We as leaders of this swim clinic teach stroke techniques, breathing methods, and basic racing skills through interactive activities and games. The focus is on building confidence, improving abilities, and nurturing a passion for swimming in a safe and enjoyable environment to support our younger participants.
My experience as a kindergarten, first, and second grade supervisor at Pinellas Preparatory Academy was life-changing. It gave me priceless leadership, communication, and empathy skills in addition to a deep sense of fulfillment from helping shape the minds of future generations. This experience had a profound impact on my personal development in addition to shaping my career path. It made me deeply appreciate the duties and rewards of working with the younger generation.
